Villa Grabau

In S. Pancrazio there is Villa Grabau, built in the 16th century by the Diodati family (merchants of Lucca) on the ruins of a medieval village.

The following owners changed its Gothic features, turning the villa first into a Renaissance and then into a neoclassical building. Noteworthy is the English garden, the Italian one (terraced and half-oval, with two central fountains embellished by bronze masks attributed to Pietro Tacca) and the "greenery theatre".
