Villa Oliva

Villa Oliva, built in the 16th century, was planned by Matteo Civitali on commission of Lodovico Buonvisi.

The villa, which belonged to many families, has two halls (one on the other) in the middle, an imposing two-storey open gallery, propped up by Matraia stone columns, a fenced big garden (5 hectares), an amphitheatre-shaped ilex grove, waterworks, marble statues, a fountain with little water-falls and the stables of the Buonvisi family.
