The events that during the year take place in the towns of the municipality are not numerous but they are good.
Among the most important ones we cite:

on February, the parade of the allegorical floats of the Carneval Marlia

on March, the exhibition "Old Camellias of the Lucchesia - Along the Camellias' path" organised by the City Hall and by the Centro Culturale Compitese: an exhibition of flowers, pictures, agricultural tools and guided visits to the oil mills and to the villas all over the territory.
It takes place in Pieve and S. Andrea di Compito and it is one of the most important exhibitions of this sector in Europe. It is along the path of the camelie: a path through the centres of the two towns, wit a visit to the gardens of the villas, where secular plants can be seen; other implants of the town and finally the small, but also unique in Italy, cultivation of tea at the top of the town.

on summer, the "Estate Culturale Capannorese in Festival" with cinema, theatre and music shows directly in the villas opened to the visitors.
